What to expect from SIMA and SIA
Of all the giant machinery shows in Europe, the biggest are Agritechnica in Hannover, Germany, and Sima, just north of Paris. Both operate on an every-other-year basis and in 2015 it is Sima’s turn. Sima 2015’s theme is ‘Innovation’. Innovation will be on show throughout the event in every possible form, with:

  • The new products guide with details on new products (technologies, equipment, services, etc.)
  • The Innovation Gallery, showcasing products that have received SIMA Innovation AWARDS
  • The Future Space: …what does tomorrow hold? Will give visitors a vision of the agriculture of the future based on three main themes: equipment, people (changing occupations, the role for the farmers and land management) and crops
  • The topics address during the International Forums, practical workshops and technical meetings.

The 27ha of exhibition space will host:

  • Equipment: tractors, equipment for cultivation, sowing, planting, harvesting and post-harvesting handling, transport and storage but also livestock farming, milking, renewable energy, landscaping, tropical crops and more.
  • Service and advice: 250 Cattle shown by livestock farmers and European breeders exhibiting at the show and taking part in the auction and competitions organized in the ring.

The Paris International Agricultural Show is a major livestock show featuring 4 500 animals including: cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, goats, dogs, crop and plan producers, cultural entertainment events, food and garden produce.
