Falke has introduced three new socks ideal for outdoor pursuits.

Cutting edge technology and innovation has made Falke socks one of the leading outdoor and sport socks in the country. Three of the latest Falke socks now available are:

Insect Pro-Tech hiking sock:
Outdoor enthusiasts can now enjoy a mosquito-free life. The socks’ odourless protection creates a barrier between foot and insect. A formulation of the insect repellent permethrin, embedded in the fibres of the sock, protects the wearer against mosquito, midge, flea and tick bites. This effect can last up to 30 washes.

The repellent is bio-degradable and environmentally friendly, anti-bacterial, non-irritant and anti-fungal. It also prevents fabric degradation and odour build-up, which can cause bacterial growth. Available from leading retail outlets from around R70 a pair.

Short Hiker sock: Strategically placed cushioning protects feet in critical high strain areas, an extra fine toe seam eliminates discomfort and reduces chances of blister formation. Reinforced heels and toe add comfort and durability. A soft elastic arch support keeps the sock firmly in place, while a unique Drynamix moisture management system provides the ultimate in coolness and all-day dryness.

Specially constructed mesh panels facilitate ventilation while anatomically shaped foot beds ensure the perfect fit. Available in a range of colours from R45.

Trail Running sock: For off-road runners, the highly advanced Silver Fibre technology keeps feet odour- and bacteria-free, while Falke’s unique Drynamix moisture management system combined with specially constructed mesh ventilation channels keep feet dry and fresh. A contoured rib top with terry cushioning protects ankle bones and keeps out dirt. Retails from around R40.
