The phone that will never let you down, won’t break, and can even safe your life.

The Titan is a rugged smartphone that was developed to handle any working environment or outdoor activity. With an IP-67 rating, one of the highest ratings that can be awarded to smartphones, the tough outer shell of the Titan means that you can take it anywhere. It is resistant to dust and dirt and can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes to a depth of 1m without sustaining any damage.

The Titan rugged phone features a hardened glass 3.5-inch touch-LCD screen and a 100dB speaker. Titan runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) giving access to over 450 000 applications. You can connect it to your email and access the Internet via its built-in web browser. Also bundled with this smartphone is CallForHelp, an application that allows you to assign a list of numbers to contact in case of an emergency.

To active the message, press and hold the ‘back’ button on the front of the phone. Up to five numbers can be programmed to receive an alert SMS and GPS tracking can locate the device. The Titan sports an 800 Mhz processor with 4GB of micro SD memory expandable up to 32GB. It has a built-in compass and flashlight and its software barometer will provide you with accurate altitude measurements. The 2 000mAh battery gives nine hours of talk time and around 15 days of standby time on a single charge. The Titan is available from R3 299 (incl VAT) from Leaf International.
