McCormick in the spotlight

Argo kept the all-new McCormick X8 under wraps until the launch at Agritechnica. The public was not disappointed: it’s an impressive machine.

Agritechnica saw the launch of the long-awaited McCormick X8 series, a milestone in the development by Argo of the McCormick brand.

The X8 series has three models rated at 198kW, 214kW and 232kW. All are powered by the fuel-efficient BetaPower 6,7-litre six-cylinder engine driving the proven four-range ZF continuously-variable transmission.

The cab is claimed to be the best in its class with a quiet, air-conditioned environment and ergonomic controls. McCormick’s entire tractor range has been overhauled over the past two years with the introduction of new technology for improved reliability and efficiency.

Agritechnica also saw the launch of the new 112,5kW McCormick X7.650, powered by the six-cylinder BetaPower Fuel Efficiency engine. It has ergonomically-arranged controls for optimal control and comfort.

The models from the McCormick VT-Drive range, such as the 89kW X6.430, feature continuously-variable transmissions, while the VT-Easypilot system provides precise control in applications such as heavy fieldwork, yard activities, livestock farming operations and municipal tasks.

Landini
Also on display by Argo were a number of Landini models with new levels of performance. The 6-Series and 7-Series V-Shift, new-generation tractors feature a ZF continuously-variable transmission and all-new metallic blue bodywork. The range includes three models powered by NEF four-cylinder engines delivering 110kW, 120kW and 132kW (6-Series) and two six-cylinder models, delivering 133kW and 143kW (7-Series).
