Thank you for your thoughts on the conversion of your farm sheds to a wedding venue. I’ve added facilities and some
neo-classical character to the chapel, but have managed to fit seating for only 224 people into the space. We may have to add a further wing onto the length of the existing shed to accommodate a further 76 people, enabling you to accommodate wedding parties of up to 300.
The entertainment area with the added surrounding deck can seat 300 guests quite comfortably. Instead of raising the dance floor and seating area by 1m to be level with the pub and wedding group area, I’ve created a 600mm down-ramp between the levels. This will help us to maintain the existing roof and accommodate the shallow roof addition over the suspended deck. I’ll also prepare a sketch layout of the old staff accommodation buildings, which can be submitted to your local town planning committee for approval.
