which were handed over to them by the premier of the province, Helen Zille. Zille recently embarked on a week-long cycle tour from Plettenberg Bay to Cape Town to promote healthier life choices among the people of the province. She stopped in Knysna, Mossel Bay, Hermanus, Khayelitsha and other places, and more than a hundred bicycles were handed over to people to help them improve their quality of life.

Bicycles were given to children from Blue Berry Mountain farm in Pacaltsdorp, Soetsmelksrivier farm in Riversdale and Meerlust Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. In other towns, bicycles were handed over to neighbourhood watches, chronic medication dispensing units and schools.
