Another big issue is the poor supply of vaccines from Onderstepoort‎ Biological Products (OBP), which has failed to deliver the necessary quantity of vaccines to farmers over the past two years.

Because of this, critical vaccinations have been missed this past summer. OBP has promised that production is now back on track, but for most farmers it’s a little too late, said Visser, discussing this week’s Farmer’s Weekly.
