He will be accompanied by Denmark’s Minister for Environment and Food, Eva Kjer Hansen, and the Minister for Business and Growth, Troels Lund Poulsen.

The royal visit will coincide with a business promotion consisting of some 45 Danish companies spanning three industries, namely energy, water and environment and agriculture and food.

The delegation will visit Johannesburg and Cape Town from 2 to 4 November 2015 to strengthen commercial relations between Denmark and South Africa. “The Danish Royal Visit presents an excellent opportunity to further promote Danish and South African partnerships, and create new business and trade,” said Denmark’s ambassador to SA Trine Rask Thygesen in a statement.

Demark was committed to the promotion of renewable energy in South Africa. A substantial number of wind farms in South Africa use Danish wind energy technology. The co-operation between the two countries will be expanded during the visit with the signing of an agreement to exchange knowledge and solutions related to the water sector.
