The Australia Awards offered full scholarships to undertake a masters degree in a field of study related to agriculture, said Sarah Withers Dippennar, senior research and programme officer at the Australian High Commission in Pretoria,
Applicants from South Africa were also eligible to apply for short courses ranging from one to three months.
Courses to be offered next year included agribusiness at the University of Queensland, and Increasing the Developmental Impact of Agricultural Research, at the University of Sydney, said Dippennar.
Applicants for short courses should have at least three years’ work experience in the public, private and civil society sectors. The closing date for course applications is 18 December and 30 November for scholarships.
