Prof Nick Vink, chair of the department of agricultural economics at Stellenbosch University, said the book celebrated the growth and achievements of AEASA – and was also “a launch pad of where we are going in the future."

The publication showcases the role of agricultural economists in the private, semi-governmental and public sectors. It serves as a useful guide for those who wish to gain insights into the workings of agricultural economics in a non-academic setting.

It also highlights the importance of agricultural economics in South Africa and makes the field more visible to a wider audience.
