Former MP killed on farm

Former ANC MP David Dlali was murdered on his farm near Matatiele in the Eastern Cape recently.

Dlali was found in his bakkie with gunshot wounds. No arrests have yet been made and the motive for the murder is still being investigated. Dlali served as an MP between 2001 and 2009, before joining the Ministry of Women, Children and People with Disabilities as special adviser to Minister Lulu Xingwana. He farmed part-time with sheep and cattle and was in the process of preparing to farm full-time after retiring as special adviser.
