Agriculture forms the foundation of the Royal Show, but the event also boasts more than 500 industrial, commercial and service sector exhibits. Barloworld Caterpillar, New Holland Construction Equipment, High Power Equipment Africa (HPE Africa), Eqstra, Goscor, AFS Materials Handling, Wacker Neuson, Komatsu, Kemach JCB and Bell Equipment will all be there this year.

According to Boerie Visagie of Bell Equipment Pietermaritzburg, the company’s stand will have a ‘Proudly South African’ theme and will feature the KwaZulu-Natal launch of the new Bell K-series tractor-loader-backhoe (TLB).  The company also hopes to have the recently launched E-series articulated dump truck on display at the show, which opened on 24 May.

Also featuring at the Royal Show will be a Bell 225 logger, Bomag BW65H and BW75H rollers, and a Bell Africa tractor. “Bell Equipment is a family business and the Royal Show is largely a family event, so we enjoy a lot of interest and exposure. The challenge is to put together a display of equipment that does justice to our image and is of the same standard as our previous exhibitions, or even better,” says the company’s Boerie Visagie. Apart from its exhibit, Bell Equipment prides itself on its hospitality. The stand will be manned by representatives from the company’s Pietermaritzburg and Umhlali branches.
