Middelburg – The Geelbek Elite Sale was held on 29 July. Eric Naudé of Leopardsvlei, Middelburg, sold the highest-priced BLUP silver ram to Pierre Rust & Son of Britstown for R36 000. Naudé also sold the second-highest-priced ram to Pierre Rust & Son and Anton Lombaard, for R20 000.
Stefan Naudé of Skuilhoek Hanover sold a silver ram to Olaf Hugo and Eduan Viljoen of Richmond for R18 000. The average price of the 76 rams on offer was R7 880. The sale was conducted by BKB, with JJ van der Watt as the auctioneer.
