Middelburg – The Merino Stud Breeders’ Association held a ram sale in Middelburg on 15 August. The Eastern Cape Merino Veld Ram Club had rams on sale at the same event. The highest-priced SA Merino Stud Breeders’ Association ram was
sold for R120 000 and the average price was R16 807. The highest-priced Eastern Cape Merino Veld Ram Club was sold for R42 000 and the average price was R7 742. The sale was conducted by BKB Auctioneers, with JJ van der Watt as auctioneer.
