The goal of the Summit is to provide a forum to discuss strategic issues facing the southern African citrus industry. It’s also an opportunity to quiz, network, and get up to date with industry news.
The Summit is targeted at Citrus growers, exporters, value chain partners, stakeholders, government officials and, of course, students studying towards a qualification relevant to the industry.
In 2015 the R 14.2 billion citrus industry produced 2,5m tons of citrus, exported 1,7m tons, and employed 71k on-farm staff. And being mindful of the dire need for young minds, the industry has also provided more than 650 agricultural bursaries to date.
