Paarl – The 36th annual South African Mutton Merino (SAMM) ram auction was held on 24 July at Boland Agricultural School. The most expensive SAMM ram (1199 JW) was sold by Hugo Wiehahn to Jannie Louw for R20 000. The rams achieved an average price of R8 944. The sale was hosted by BKB Paarl, with Ters Marais as auctioneer.
