PP Mong Trust Auction

Villiersdorp – The PP Mong Trust Auction was held on Tuesday, 3 June 2014 at Florina. The most expensive Dohne Merino ram was sold for R28 000 to Josias le Roux from the farm Langhoogte of Caledon. Fifty-two Dohne Merino rams achieved an average price of R10 837. Twelve Hereford bulls were also on offer, the most expensive Hereford bull was sold for R33 000 to Theunis Smit (Snr) and Theunis Smit (Jnr). The bulls achieved an average price of R27 400. The auction was conducted by BKB, with Appie Maritz as the auctioneer.
