Johan Pienaar, deputy executive director of Agri SA, said that between 2010 and 2011 there was a 36% increase in investment in the agricultural sector. “Furthermore an additional 2000 tractors were purchased last year in comparison to the previous year, which is a good indication that it is going well with agriculture.” Farmers were told that the next 20 years will be the best that the agricultural sector has ever experienced.
