SA wine fit for French president

Two wines from Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines, based in Riebeek Kasteel in the Swartland region, were recently served to French president Francois Hollande at a lunch in New Delhi on India’s Republic Day.

The Mullineux Syrah 2013, which has notes of spicy citrus rind, refined black fruit, violets and lilies, was served with the starters, the Mullineux White 2013 complemented the main course.

The lunch was hosted by prominent Indian industrialist Analjit Singh and was attended by politicians, business people, actors and socialites.

Singh made history when he became the first Indian investor in wine tourism in South Africa in 2013 by becoming a partner in Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines.
