Nigel – The 24th annual Beefmaster Alliance production sale was held on 1 August at Manjoh Ranch. A total of 130 performance tested bulls, 55 in calf cows and heifers and 55 open heifers were on offer. The auctioneer was Johan van der Nest. The highest-priced bull was sold for R60 000 to Dr Terry Counihan of East London. The highest-priced females were part of a parcel of two registered pregnant females sold to Allan de Villiers of Piet Retief for R15 000 each.
