Winburg – The Ecta Dormer Stud Dispersal Auction of Theo Nel was held on 22 May. The biggest buyers were Len Geldenhuys of Pretoria, Barend Rossouw of Bethlehem and Hennie Roos of Hoopstad. The most expensive Dormer ram (Simson TA13 00 07), a Goliat son, was sold for R40 000 to Jalico Dormers of Brandfort. Willie Esterhuyse of Petrusburg bought the second-most expensive ram (Goliat ASJ09 03 67) for R20 000. The auction was held under the auspices of the Dormer Society and conducted by Eco auctioneers.
