Derby – The Fonteine Boran Sale was held in Groenfontein on 24 May. Petrie Oosthuizen of Triple O Boran, Stellenbosch sold the highest-priced bull (TRI 10 002) to Chris Coetzee of Namibia for R110 000. Francois Smit (Fonteine Borans) of
Derby sold the highest-priced cow and calf (FN 06 054) to Johan Scheepers of Fouriesburg for R32 000. He also sold the highest-priced heifer (FN 11 219) to Hurwitz Farming of Davel for R50 000. The sale was conducted by SHM Auctioneers, with Johan van der Nest as the auctioneer.
