DRDLR helps agri graduates

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) has approved the acquisition of a R15,5 million farm for eight recently qualified agricultural students in Limpopo, who are currently on a two-year learnership programme with Molemole Local Municipality, according to a recent press release.

The 826ha Waldburg Farm in the Capricorn District’s Molemole local municipality, was purchased as part of the Proactive Land Acquisition Strategy (PLAS), said the release.

The Agricultural Sector Education Training Authority (Agriseta) has undertaken to register the farming business as a legal entity. It will also provide comprehensive mentorship support, including management and technical skills, said the release.
