Agriculture minister Senzeni Zokwana’s spokesperson Steve Galane said his boss launched the programme at the beginning of the month and has been criss-crossing the country trying to get the youth to choose agriculture as a career.

“Most of our farmers will be out of the system in three years or so, hence the minister is going around the country encouraging the youth to come aboard,” said Galane.

Zokwana and Limpopo agriculture MEC Joy Matshoge will attend the career expo at the Bosele School for the Deaf and Blind in Groblersdal, Limpopo tomorrow (20 June). More than 1 000 young people are expected to attend the expo starting at 9am
