OIE hears red meat industry concerns during SA visit

Various South Africa livestock industries reportedly welcomed the opportunity to highlight their concerns regarding the state of State veterinary services to delegates from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The delegates spent nearly 3 weeks here recently following an invitation from the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. DAFF said that it wanted the OIE to evaluate if SA’s veterinary services were compliant with OIE international standards.
