Keeping farm grounds in shape with the Husqvarna Z560X zero-turn mower

3 min read

Spring brings the grounds back to the top of the maintenance list on farms and estates across South Africa. Entrances and avenues, the homestead garden, lodge and guest lawns, staff housing, and areas around offices and pack sheds all start growing again at once, making efficient mowing essential for keeping properties neat and presentable.

For larger areas of lawn, a zero-turn mower can make a significant difference to productivity. Individual hydraulic wheel-drive systems allow precise manoeuvring, helping operators work efficiently around trees, beds, and buildings while making tight turns at the end of each run.

The Husqvarna Z560X is a commercial zero-turn mower designed for demanding mowing schedules, combining a wide cutting deck, high ground speed, and the durability needed for professional use.

More ground covered

With a 152cm cutting width and a maximum forward speed of 19,3km/h, the Z560X covers extensive areas efficiently. Its Kawasaki FX Series V-Twin engine delivers 23,1kW of output shaft power, providing the power needed to maintain performance across larger grounds.

That power is delivered through Hydro-Gear® ZT5400 transmissions, built to handle even the biggest jobs in landscaping, and a 45,4-litre fuel tank helps operators spend more time mowing and less time stopping to refuel.

For farms and estates managing extensive lawns, this combination of width, speed, and power turns regular ground maintenance into a more efficient part of the working day.

A finish worth maintaining

On large areas, cut quality counts as much as covering ground. The Z560X’s heavy-duty fabricated cutting deck is built for durability and long service life, and its cutting height range of 25,4mm to 127mm gives operators flexibility to set the cut according to the area and conditions. Deck depth and high performance blades contribute to an exceptionally even cut.

The mower is set up for side discharge as standard, and Husqvarna offers options to suit different tasks. A rear-mounted collection system and mulch kits are available, including a 1,52m mulch kit. These options give operators the flexibility to use one machine across several different mowing tasks, and help reduce the follow-up work needed to finish each area.

Comfort for the working day

Operator comfort is key to long, productive work days. The Z560X is fitted with a premium suspension seat and bolstered cushions, and the seat is designed to minimise vibrations, which counts over a full day’s mowing.

Effective, ergonomic handling does the rest. User-focused controls put everything needed to operate the mower within easy reach, so the machine takes less out of the operator.

Built for professional use

The Z560X is part of Husqvarna’s Z500 series, developed with a focus on productivity, durability, and cut quality. A welded tubular steel frame, cast-iron spindles, and a heavy-duty cutting deck are made to withstand years of tough commercial use.

Servicing is straightforward too. An open design gives access to the transmission, cutting deck, and other serviceable items, and tool-less fasteners make routine maintenance quicker. A foldable roll-over protective structure provides rollover protection, an automatic parking brake holds the machine when it is stopped, and a heavy-duty rubber discharge chute protects nearby property.

Engineered to perform

When the mowing runs all day, Husqvarna zero-turn mowers are made to deliver the output and comfort operators need, which is what makes the Z560X a dependable partner on a working property.

For farms and estates where large lawns need regular attention through the growing season, the Husqvarna Z560X keeps grounds looking well maintained without taking over the working week.
