From wasteland to forest

 At one of our stops, I saw the Farmer’s Weekly and decided to buy it and read bits and pieces from it to my husband while he was driving. One of the most inspirational articles I have ever read, then or since, was entitled ‘Trees’ by Jean Giono (23 December 1981, pg 54). One man, armed only with his own physical and moral resources, turned a wasteland into a paradise valley of forests, farms and neat villages.

Trough all these years I have kept the photocopy of that article and coming across it again recently wondered if you would care to look at it. I really do think it is worth reading. We are not farmers at all but have always loved your magazine.
