Farmers well prepared for winter weather

Farmers in the Western Cape suffered minimal damage and livestock losses due to heavy rainfall, snow and bitter cold conditions experienced in most parts of the province during July.

According to Agri Western Cape’s CEO, Carl Opperman, regional agricultural associations affiliated with Agri Western Cape were able to warn farmers well in advance of pending weather related threats and as a result farmers were well prepared for the rain and snow.
