Galloway is suspected to have been abducted outside the gate of his home in Kloof, Durban, between 3am and 4am on 23 July. Galloway’s son Wayne said his father had got up early to drive to Mthatha in the Eastern Cape for a meeting. Private investigator Brad Nathanson, who is unofficially helping in the search for Galloway, said it was as if aliens had abducted Galloway.

“Everything that we could use to track BG was left behind by the abductors, including his mobile phone and iPad. There has been no movement on his bank accounts. It’s as if BG was abducted by aliens.” Galloway’s car was also left in the driveway. The 59-year-old was involved in Canegrowers for 20 years and about three years ago sold his farm and moved to Kloof to pursue other business interests.
