SA’s grain parliament to convene this week

The annual ‘grain parliament’, as the yearly Grain SA congress is often referred to, takes place on Wednesday and Thursday (2-3 March) this week at Nampo Park near Bothaville.

The theme is ‘Facing new realities’, according to a Grain SA statement.

Among the topics coming under discussion are facing new realities for the free market, climate change and planning for periods of drought.

Speakers include Hamish McBain, retired executive director of Tiger Brands, Prof Willem Landman, meteorologist, University of Pretoria, and Omri van Zyl, Agri SA executive director.
