Frans Joubert of Conquip has sold over 40 Bunning manure spreaders in the Western Cape. Heavy-duty spreaders like this are making inroads locally, and those from GT Bunning & Sons in Dereham, Norfolk, are renowned for their quality and field performance. This is the Heavy Duty Mark 2 Lowlander with a carrying capacity of 15t. Conquip also imports and distributes the Bunning range of vacuum slurry tankers.
Steenberg farmer Richard Brummer has, through his company Farmer’s Utilities, imported another shipment of these very popular shearing machines. The last batch went so quickly he has outstanding orders. Two models are available – the 240V model (right) or the much lighter 12V model complete with transformer. Both come with a carry case.
IT company Cropsystems provides management solutions for the South African farming industry. Shrinking water resources and changing legislation make efficient use of irrigation water imperative. Cropsystems makes available an integrated and affordable decision support package to aid in the timing and optimised application of fungicides, insecticides and water. Remote telemetry networks enable access to site-specific data at all times. This weather station measures temperature, relative humidity, rainfall and global radiation. An anemometer to register wind speed and direction can be added.
