A total of 2 247 companies from 36 countries exhibited their wares at Agritechnica 2007, the world’s largest exhibition of agricultural machinery, at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany from 13 to 17 November 2007. This is 40% more than the number of exhibitors at the last event in 2005. Over 330 000 farmers and professionals, including 70 000 from abroad, attended. For those interested in agricultural machinery, Agritechnica is a unique destination. Joe Spencer reports.
New Holland’s T7000 tractor won the prestigious Tractor of the Year Award at the Agritechnica machinery show. The top prize was complemented by the Golden Tractor for Design Award, recognising the new standards in performance and comfort set by the T7000 range. “Agritechnica 2007 has been an extraordinary show for us,” says Carlo Lambro, vice-president of New Holland Europe. “The Tractor of the Year, Golden Tractor for Design and Machine of the Year Awards, in addition to the Gold Medal and two Silver Medals which the German Agricultural Society awarded to the CR Elevation combine, recognise our innovative approach to product development as well as the benefits this has had for our customers.”
