Living Land, an SABC Education television programme on developing agriculture, is back on air with a fresh look and an even more upbeat, informative approach. The 26-part series tackles issues such as land reform and emerging agriculture from a perspective of long-term empowerment, food security and economic growth, according to its producer Nozipho Ndiweni.
The programme has a “field to fork” approach and is designed to speak to farmers, potential farmers, stakeholders in the agricultural industry and the broad public. In fact, anybody who eats, wears clothes and uses paper should watch Living Land, says Martie Willemse, the programme’s executive director.
Living Land is broadcast on SABC2 at 10:30am on Saturdays. – Glenneis Erasmus
