The Avoca Sussex & Dormer Production Sale was held at the Dewetsdorp Golf Club on 24 July.

Sussex bull GMO 22 028, bred by Geoff Orpen of Avoca Stud, was sold for R120 000 to David McCall of Skietlaagte Farms in Viljoenskroon.

Sussex bulls sold for an average price of R59 367, while in-calf heifers sold for an average of R16 500.

Dormer rams sold for an average price of R6 095 and Dormer ewes for an average of R 3 420.

The sale was held by OVK, with Jakkie Nel as the auctioneer.
