The programme, also scheduled to be launched today, will move diesel refund registration from the existing VAT-linked model to a dedicated system on eFiling.
Existing diesel refund users will not be transferred automatically and will therefore have to register on the new system. Diesel sellers will also have to register, enabling users to establish and manage their supplier relationships electronically.
A Diesel User Dashboard will allow users to monitor applications, registrations, and relationships with diesel sellers.
Preparing for the programme
Farmers and other diesel-refund users should ensure that their SARS legal-entity profiles are valid and confirmed. They should also have information about their business activities available and be prepared to create electronic relationships with their diesel suppliers.
Diesel sellers should confirm the accuracy of their details and register on the new system to enable customers to establish and validate supplier relationships with them.
