The price of petrol could decrease by between 40c/litre and 44c/litre, Marius Luyt, head of public affairs, said in an interview. Paraffin could decrease by as much as 49c/litre.
The reductions are driven by a lower oil price and stable exchange rate, he said. If the rand continues its strengthening against the dollar, South Africa could see further reductions, he added.
