Do you use animals to guard your livestock?

1 min read

We are looking for farmers with two or more years experience in using donkeys, alpacas or dogs to guard their livestock against predators, mainly jackal and caracal.

The purpose is to establish which factors lead to either success or failure to control stock losses. This only requires answering a short questionnaire, either electronically or in writing, and it should take less than half an hour. Your participation will be greatly appreciated and will help all fellow livestock farmers.

To participate or for more information please contact Jolandie Botha, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Onderstepoort, at [email protected], or 083 654 4017.
