Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies said, however, they had “deployed” R1,2 billion to support the industry.

Critical issues pertaining to poultry farming have come under the spotlight during the conference, which started on Tuesday, 23 June, and was attended by hundreds of stakeholders, including emerging poultry farmers.

These include egg production, the impact of imports and exports on the local economy and future prospects.
