This follows a two-year association in which Mutual & Federal underwrote some of Agricola’s business. “This transaction is an opportunity for us to expand our product offering and infrastructure within the crop environment. The acquisition will also widen our crop insurance footprint and ensure that, unlike before, the short term insurer’s crop offering will have national representation,” said Philip du Preez, head of Mutual & Federal Agri.
Mutual & Federal buys Agricola
Insurer Mutual & Federal has bought Agricola, the only specialised crop underwriting manager in SA. The company will now be known as Mutual & Federal Agri.
