MYCOROOT IS A GRANULAR microbial soil amendment product containing indigenous strains of mycorrhizal fungi.
These fungi establish a symbiotic relationship with the roots of most crop plants and contribute to soil health and plant growth.
A team of South African scientists with a combined 50 years experience in mycorrhizal research developed Mycoroot, using South African isolates of AM fungi. An indigenous, environmentally friendly product supported in an inert carrier, Mycoroot is the only 100% pure mycorrhizal product produced in SA. The product range consists of MycorootJ SuperGro, MycorootJ Supreme, MycorootJ Super Booster, MycorootJ Green, and application rates vary with plant species, planting method and spacing. As a guideline, MycorootJ SuperGro is used at a rate of 50kg/ha to 100kg/ha for row crops, MycorootJ Supreme is used at 5ml per seedling, and MycorootJ Super Booster is used at 20ml to 50ml per tree when young trees are transplanted.
The products are solely for the purpose stated and must be used according to the instructions. Results cannot be guaranteed if misused, diluted or mixed with other products. To help farmers understand how these microorganisms function, MycorootJ Services provides an expert support service. It assesses mycorrhizal status of soil, establishes the populations of mycorrhizal fungi in the soil, and determines the presence of selected soil-borne pathogens.
