On 17 July 2007 it was exactly 90 years since a group of eight farmers from the Natal Midlands opened a pork factory on the banks of the Boesmans River in Estcourt. Today the business is simply known as “Eskort”. Arnold Prinsloo (left), appointed the new CEO of Eskort Ltd on 1 July, said that while it was good to reflect with pride on their heritage, they could not stand still. He announced that their plans for the future were already in the implementation stage and that their mission is to establish strong and loyal partnerships and to provide the South African consumer with a variety of products of outstanding quality. – Staff reporter
