Grain producers have been called on to attend Grain SA’s regional meetings this month to help the organisation promote and ensure the sustainable and profitable production of grain in South Africa.

The meetings will form part of the preparations for Grain SA’s annual congress, to be held on 7 and 8 March near Bothaville in the Free State.

Among the issues that will be addressed at the regional meetings are creating new economic opportunities, progress on biofuel and trade policies, and plotting a way forward for agriculture in the current political and economic environment. The regional meetings will also give producers an opportunity to put forward their particular needs so that they may be addressed.
