The SA Challenge competition, scheduled within the 13th Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race (SCMDPR), is a race within a race, and multiplies South African entrants’ chances to win.

The events programme remains the same – all that changes is that you either decide to grab one more opportunity, added to the more than 350 ways to win already, at the additional cost of only R1 200 to your paid entry. The SCMDPR is scheduled for the 31st of January 2009. The winning pigeon will earn a whopping US million (R17 million).

The SA Challenge prize money
Now hold on to your hats – these figures are guaranteed, regardless of the number of entries. These prizes are as follows:
The SA Challenge Hot Spots – Five South African Spot prizes of R1 250 on each of the five hot spot races. Have you noticed how many times the third to fifth South African pigeons have just missed the top 10 hot spot positions? Now here’s an extra opportunity for South Africans only – five Hot Spots with five prizes= 25 x R1 250, which equals 100% of your money back, while the final event is still forthcoming.
The SA Challenge Spot Ace Pigeon is awarded R25 000. South Africa only has1 078 pigeons in the race compared to 4 490 pigeons from the rest of the world, which includes those German and Belgian missiles.
