Klerksdorp – The Rolmodelle Simmentaler Sale was held on 19 June. The most expensive bull (DJA 09 72) was sold for R75 000 to Barrange (Edms) Bpk/Danie Pretorius of Fochville by DJA Ellis of Klerksdorp. Bulls achieved an average price of R32 000.
The most expensive cow and calf (E09 84) was sold for R80 000 to Legacy Trust/Warwick Hughes of Danhoff Bloemfontein by DH Vos of Potchefstroom. Cows and calves averaged R24 200. The most expensive cow (HPZ 06 86) was sold for R21 000 to Boberg Bdy/Anton van Lambton by Stefaans Botha of Stoffberg. Cows averaged R16 600.
The most expensive pregnant heifer (DJA 11 42) was sold for R38 000 to Mondia Trust/Peet and Maxie of Centurion by DJA Ellis of Klerksdorp. Pregnant heifers averaged R16 500. Clive Gardner Auctioneers hosted the sale.
