The South African Revenue Service has refuted allegations that its farm diesel use auditors work on a commission. This allegation has been doing the rounds in the farming community, and was possibly started by some farmers whom the auditors fined for failing to keep accurate records of farm diesel usage but that the farmers still used to claim back on the diesel rebate that they are entitled to.
