KZN farmers disturbed at land invasion incident

The KwaZulu-Natal farming community has reacted with shock and outrage to news of a farmer allegedly being assaulted by land invaders and chased off the land he was leasing.

The land invaders reportedly came from a neighbouring community that owns the 1 000 hectares New Guelderland Sugar Estates and that was leasing the farm to, Rodger Stewart. Stewart’s alleged attackers reportedly forced him to sign documents cancelling the lease because he was allegedly not adhering to its requirements.
