One agriculture, one vision

The theme for Agri Mega Week 2012, which takes place in Bredasdorp from Thursday, 13 September, to Saturday, 15 September, is “One agriculture, one vision”.

The aim is to emphasise the fact that agriculture in South Africa is an ‘integrated matrix’ of all sectors. And all producers, whether commercial or emerging, are part of the matrix. They can’t survive in isolation. What happens in one sector inevitably also affects the others, and it’s only natural that agriculture should have one vision.

"This is a prerequisite for sustainable production, environmental farming and food security", says Agri Mega.

Role-players from the primary and secondary sectors will attend Agri Mega Week 2012 and participate in expos, demonstrations, workshops, information sessions and indabas.
