The Ambiente LED System provides remote-controlled lighting for those scary, dark areas.

This LED system is equally suited to home lighting, security lighting and back-up lighting and comes with an with infrared remote control and optional phone activation. It’s manufactured by the South African company Ambiente. The control box can be placed outdoors in an all-weather enclosure. The panel features a black reset button to manually switch lights on or off. Two pilot lights indicate system status: yellow if the system is running on battery power, green if it’s on AC power and charging the battery. An infrared remote control individually switches lights on and off from up to 5m.
Each light contains three powerful LEDs with a life expectancy of 40 000 hours or 10 years. Three lights are available. Pure white gives a brighter light, ideal for outdoor lighting. Natural white gives softer light, suitable for indoors and outdoors. A yellow lens gives soft, yellow light for outdoors.

A real-time clock ensures indoor lights remain off in the day in the event of a power failure. The 12V/18A battery has a life expectancy of three years and an intelligent charger protecting it from over- or under-charging. The power cable must be plugged into the mains. Because LEDs use so little electricity, the system runs off the smallest generator.
