Their guest was obviously a ZANU-PF supporter who stated that regardless of whether Mugabe is there or not, Zimbabweans will never vote ZANU-PF out of power. Well one would not really expect anything else from one who is obviously on that gravy train, but to hear the opinions voiced by South Africans was mind-boggling.
Most agreed with the guest, expounding Mugabe as a great leader of Africa who has created a successful, peaceful state! Where have these people been? Do they know nothing about the happenings in Zimbabwe? Do they know that he has looted that country dry, making him one of the wealthiest men in Africa. Do they know that he had thousands of his people killed in the Gukurahundi? Do they know how many of his political opponents have met untimely deaths?
Do they know that he has destroyed the bread basket of Southern Africa? All the best farms he stole in the name of redistribution now belong to him, his family and his cronies. In order to live, the average man has had to slaughter wildlife and destroy woodlands. He created the greatest inflation the world has ever seen.
In 2008 he lost the election even after having his thugs kill over 200 opposition supporters and torture thousands more. Millions of Zimbabweans have fled to SA, where they are contributing to unemployment. Are there that many South Africans who are blind, deaf or ignorant about what this man has done?
