“We are pleasantly surprised about what has happened here. The exhibitors have brought only the best and the latest,” says chairperson of the Nampo Harvest Day Jub Jubelius. “This is true about both the technology and the implements. The technological developments are making us very excited about the way forward. If you look at where agriculture is heading, you immediately start thinking, ‘Who will be able to operate these expensive modern machines?’ We must urgently look at training, extensive training. We are very excited about the future though. Then we come to the demonstration of farming implements. The decision has already been made and it’s on for next year. Concerning the costs, SAAMA has requested that there must be cost savings, so we will not have the enormous number of new machines for demonstrations. What is necessary is that we see only the best and the latest technology because as the seller you want to impress the buyer. That’s how business works,” Jubelius says.

This year’s show saw the introduction of many new machines, innovative techniques and novel concepts. Joe Spencer presents a pictorial view of the equipment that impressed.
